Hello gorgeous!
I’m Cim.
I am an artist, photographer
& human behaviourist
With one foot in art & creativity and one in personal growth and inner work, I stand steady right in my passion.
I really love combining these two (seemingly different) areas. I am not one without the other, but rather I am constantly weaving them together.
My camera has been my therapist for over 10 years
More than ten years ago, I was in the middle of a depression with panic attacks and hard time breathing, eating and sleeping. This is where my psychological healing journey began - as well as my photo therapy journey.
My camera has helped me understand and move through some of the most challenging times of my life and has taught me so much about myself. I call the camera “the big eye” as it is a powerful tool to really get to see oneself.
Curious?
I love creating and playing with colors and light! It is one of my biggest pleasures in this life. It can be with the colors of my clothes and hair or the lights and colors I set in my studio to light my subject. Visual pleasure is my jam!
The word photography actually means painting with light.
Just as in the studio as in my life at large, I want to move in the direction of what I wish to highlight. What I mean with this is that I want to live a life based on what I am for, rather than what I am against. This is the same in my art. I enjoy engaging in things I want to see more of, want us to bring into our lives more and maybe even celebrate.
Sometimes I refer to myself as a “yes-artist.”
Colors & Light
It’s a blessing to be a woman
As an artist I draw inspiration from my own life and experiances. Being a woman in this life, has taken me on deep and beautiful journeys to reclaim, reconnect and love the depts of living in this body. Understanding my body, my yoni, my emotions and my sexuality. So much was unknown to me, as it is for most of us, but the wisdom lives in our bodies waiting to be remembered.
I want to create experiences and art that inspires us to be more of ourselves, more connected to our bodies, our yonis, our emotions. Let’s celebrate the amazing experience of being a here in this life as free and authentic women!
Commersial work
I’ve been working as a professional freelance photographer for over 10 years and in this time I’ve photographed everything from fashion, portraits, retreats, weddings, interior design and events. And I love the variation! I see every assignment as a unique project and custom make every photo session to fit the best possible way to my client.
I love creating photos with people, for people. A good photo, for me, captures something that we can relate to and touches something inside of the viewer. In many ways I see photos as a communication of emotions. This is what I bring into my commercial work and what makes my photos have an impact.
